What happens when our pet passes over?

I was reluctant to write this blog as its only been days since Baron passed (and I keep wailing like a banshee when thinking of him.) However, it is needed as one day someone will read this during a time like now, and hopefully find some peace …

So, what happens when our pets, or even animals in general, pass over?

Lets start from the beginning with some concepts I have been taught by Spirit then I will share my recent experience, to help clarify some things.

Firstly, animals are sentient beings - fact

They feel all the emotions we do, although with a little less human complexity - us humans are a little twisted to say the least.

I have also come to learn that each animal, such as our beloved pets, do not have individual souls. More so, they belong to a collective soul for each type, or group of animals.

So, for example, all dogs share one of the biggest beautiful souls.

This soul is literally the embodiment of unconditional love - dogs are one of the most forgiving, loving creatures on this planet so this doesn’t come as a surprise.

Now to the difficult part - yes, unfortunately our beloved pets (who despite what anyone says are our family) do not live forever.

Their lives are short, sweet but more profound than we could ever imagine.

Before a pet passes over, they know their time is coming to an end. Animals can sense much more than us and see the elemental beings, angels of love, Fae etc around them to help their passing.

Passing is never easy and this is why we all have our support in spirit during these times; including animals.

I can confirm this as I saw this the other night when my Baron was out under the stars, tucked away under the deck in his favourite spot - the air around the house was filled with white orbs and a single large green light - Archangel Raphael - who I asked to come in and help heal his pain during this time.

Now, after the initial shock of what just happened goes, some animals linger while others move on to the light and join their collective soul.

And yes, once they join this collective soul, they go on to heal just like we need to heal as well here on Earth.

They can return from this place to visit in spirit, but only once healed among their colleagues in the spirit realm - its truly magical.

I have been shown this animal healing space but like most things in spirit, each of us view it differently.

For me, I see it as a world where humans do no exist and all the animals are free to roam the planet in their own timeline, space and natural habitat. Their collective souls welcoming back their kind and time is spent healing and removing any trauma or pain.

Like I said, its truly magical - almost like the Garden of Eden itself.

Sometimes however, like any spirit, they need a little helping hand to cross over to that magical place; just like Baron

Baron - my eternal guardian and protector

I mean, he was a German Shepard after all

A day after his passing, I was sitting on my lounge around 3am like I normally do when I have my insomnia spells. However this time was different - my guardian was not on the lounge with me. There was however a faint sense of his presence as well as my Aunty Betty’s spirit - I left it be and went to bed (see above picture with the beam of light).

That next night while watching TV around 9pm, I felt his paw

I turned to my left and felt him reach out for me like he used to when I wasn’t paying attention to him. I closed my eyes and there he was with his big dark eyes, gorgeous white coat and those bloody big ears.

He was sad for me and I could feel his heart’s pain - his best friend was not coping

In a flash, my Aunty Betty and my guides stepped in - they told me they were allowing him to say goodbye as when he passed, he slipped away and hid under the deck to do it away from us as to spare the pain, but as a result we didn’t get to say goodbye.

Goosebumps. Tears. Memories flooding back from our adventures all over Australia.

But they were just that now - memories

Following this, I was told I had to let him go - to go and heal. For, however long he lingered, the pair of us would be in pain

So, with a heavy, heavy heart, I nodded and let him go off with the spirits. His tail wagged like crazy as he looked up at Aunty Betty while the pair of them walked into the light.

Our Journey was over

… for now as I knew it at least, as I know he will be back when we are both ready

He was, as I said - my guardian, protector, best friend and also familiar

To be honest - I don't know what I did to deserve such an amazing being in my life

Now, while I compose my self, I will leave you with a quote by Perre A Riffard ( A French philosopher and specialist in esotericism) on animal familiars:

“A familiar spirit –(alter ego, doppelgänger, personal demon, personal totem, spirit companion) is the double, the alter-ego, of an individual. It does not look like the individual concerned. Even though it may have an independent life of its own, it remains closely linked to the individual. The familiar spirit can be an animal (animal companion).”

Not all of us are lucky enough to have an animal companion, such as this dog, who we get to have such an amazing journey with, but for those who do - cherish them. Look after them. And know they are with you in this life and the next

For a dog never really does leave your side
